Polycrystalline vs Monocrystalline

Both Polycrystalline and Monocrystalline solar panels offer good solutions for home solar power systems, though there are small key differences:

Monocrystalline Panels are made of single silicon crystals forming every PV cell. This ensures a higher conversion efficiency, meaning monocrystalline cells

produce more kilowatt-hours of electricity, making them ideal for areas with limited space. This however does also make monocrystalline cells more expensive.

Polycrystalline panels are made by melting different pieces of silicon into PV cells. This makes them easier less expensive to manufacture than monocrystalline cells, however more polycrystalline cells are needed to reach the same energy output.
